Job Description and Qualifications

General Description:
This position reports to the Senior Seminar Coordinator and its responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate speaking engagements for speakers on the Catholic Answers Speakers Bureau.
- Respond to calls, emails, and letters inquiring about the speakers: their background, talk topics, availability, fees, travel arrangements, etc.
- Fulfill requests for seminar information packets or other material regarding speakers (bios, photos, etc.).
- Issue agreement letters and audio/video recording contracts for confirmed speaking engagements.
- Maintain spreadsheets of event-specific details.
- Book all flights for speakers’ travel.
- Process invoices for all fees associated with each speaking engagement.
- Coordinate the shipping and return of resource materials (books, tapes, etc.) sold at speaking engagements.
Personal Qualifications:
- A deep love for the Catholic Faith and fidelity to the teaching of the Catholic Church.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong consultative selling and listening skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Professional demeanor.
- Ability to keep track of a large number of details.
- Patience and flexibility.
- Self-motivating drive.
Experience:
- Four year college degree required.
- Prior experience in event planning a plus.
