Phil’s work experience includes several years with an international accounting firm and as a financial executive with a Fortune 300 company. He currently serves as Director of Finance for Catholic Answers and President of Veritas Financial Ministries.
Phil is the author of 7 Steps to Becoming Financially Free, and is a frequent guest on Catholic radio. Phil lives with his family in Temecula, California.

7 Steps Overview
Jump start the 7 Steps Program in your community by bringing Phil out to share this important message with Diocesan and parish leaders (especially pastors).
In the 7 Steps Overview Phil shares What It Means To Be Truly Financially Free and How To Achieve True Financial Freedom. Small group breakout discussions are included. This is the most effective way to help this ministry take root throughout your Diocese. Parish leaders are the first to become thoroughly acquainted with the program as well as its many benefits to stewardship and to the faithful themselves. Have Phil return to your Diocese to conduct a well attended 7 Steps Leader Training event within three months.
Honorarium:
- $2,000 (Note -- $500 of this can be applied to a future Leader Training which includes Mass Talks.)
Leader Training
Train your volunteer small group leaders! Here is how it works:
The 7 Steps Overview will be given in a morning session (9-12). During the afternoon Leader Training, Phil walks participants through the nuts and bolts of running the 7 Steps Small Group Study, and actually guides participants through a sample session!
A minimum of 15 participants at each session is required. There is no upward limit on the number of attendees.
Pastors and other Diocesan/Parish leaders can choose to attend just the morning event. Small group leaders are encouraged to attend both.

Mass Talks
Along with the Overview or Leader Training events, Phil can stay to speak at each of the Sunday Masses at your parish, addressing the entire local Catholic community on what it means to be truly financially free as well encouraging participation in the 7 Steps Small Group Study. This has a tremendous impact on enthusiasm and goes a long way towards getting the 7 Steps program off the ground.

Phil's talks on What It Means To Be Truly Financially Free and How To Achieve True Financial Freedom are perfect for Stewardship Days, Parish Speaker Series, Family Conferences and high school/college gatherings.
Honorarium:
- First talk - $1500; additional talk - $500
- Travel Expenses for all events: air fare and/or mileage, lodging, rental car if necessary, and a per diem of $50.
